Being a college student means juggling classes, jobs, and a social calendar. With the increasing issue on many college campuses with food insecurity, we want our Horned Frogs set up for success.  Please reach out to any Student Affairs professional staff if you are in need of any resources or have questions.

***Crisis fund applications cannot be reviewed by committee or processed/paid by business offices when the University is closed for holidays, breaks, or weekends. Deadlines for payments and/or bank holidays may affect funding timelines. Applications submitted right before holidays/breaks will also be affected. Please refer to the list of Additional Resources below for community resources as well.***

Thanks to the ongoing generosity of donors, since 2007, the Frog Family Crisis Fund has provided financial assistance to students affected by catastrophic or emergency situations.  These have included circumstances that are sudden, unexpected, and affect a student’s ability to thrive academically and beyond.

If you are a current student and would like to apply for the TCU Frog Family Crisis Fund, please review the information below carefully before applying to be sure you are eligible, meet the requirements, and are ready to provide a complete application. If you do not meet the requirements or are not able to provide a complete application, the committee cannot review your application.

Also, for those in our community interested in assisting students by contributing to the fund, please visit makeagift.tcu.edu and indicate “Frog Family Crisis Fund”.  Thank you.

The Food Recovery Network unites students on college campuses to fight food waste and hunger by recovering perishable food that would otherwise go to waste from their campuses and communities and donating it to people in need. TCU began its FRN chapter in 2017. The TCU FRN delivers the recovered food to the Union Gospel Mission of Fort Worth to feed the individuals served there. In addition to the TCU FRN’s partnership with TCU Dining, the TCU FRN members pick up bagels from the Einstein’s Bagels near campus on University to prevent food waste and feed those in need.
